About the Author
Stan Zweifel, Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers/Quarterbacks Coach, has been at UW-W since 1990. During his playing days, Zweifel was a wide receiver for UW-River Falls, being the team's leading receiver for two years, and leading the team in scoring in 1973. Stan's coaching background began in high school at Markesan, WI and New Ulm, MN, followed with a stint as the offensive coordinator at Northern Colorado University and as head coach at both Yankton College, SD and Minnesota-Morris before coming to UW-Whitewater.
Stan is known around the country as one of the finest offensive line coaches, teaching the zone concept. Many high school and college coached consult with him to find out the proper teaching progressions needed to run that type of offense most effectively.
Stan, along with Brian Borland and Bob Berezowitz, wrote a book entitled "Coaching Football's Zone Offense." He also has written "101 Zone Offensive Plays" and "Developing Effective Pass Protection Schemes." Stan has also produced three video series' on offensive line play. Stan is an outstanding motivator and teacher of young men. His Whitewater offenses have been nationally ranked the past 5 years.
He and his wife Diane have four children, Saree, Shannon, Mark, and Mike.
