About the Author
Dr. John McCollister is a native Pittsburgher who earned a Ph.D. in communications from Michigan State University. He is the author of 21 books, including Tales from the Pirates Dugout, Echoes from the Smithsonian, and Tales from the Cockpit for Sports Publishing. The life-long Pirates fan actually tried out for the team, but was cut because of a few bad breaks and an amazing lack of talent. He now lives at the Spruce Creek Fly-In near Daytona Beach, Florida.
