About the Author
H.A. Branham is the communications manager for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. A former sports editor for the Tampa Tribune , he is also the author of Sampras: A Legend in the Works . Buz McKim is the historic database coordinator for the NASCAR public relations department and was previously director of archives for the International Speedway Corporation.
