Editorial Reviews
Book Description
This magnificent book on the Cape heaths illustrates a diverse and complex genus in which fully two-thirds of all species are native to South Africa. All 450 species are described and accompanied by one or more superb color photographs.

About the Author
Dolf Schumann has dedicated his time to the study and, in particular, the photographing of ericas. Most of the photographs in this book are taken from the incomparable collection he has built up over the years. Gerhard Kirsten has spent most of his free time collecting and recording the more elusive Erica species, and he devotes many hours to the study of the genus. The results of this single-minded work are reflected in the clear and concise species accounts he has written.
